The J-Walkers Youth Group
J-Walkers youth group is a place where middle and high school students feel welcome and encouraged to take the next steps in their faith. Our desire is to put into practice Romans 12:1-2 and keep our focus on what God has for us so we will be changed from the inside out – ready to recognize and respond to the way He has for us.
Join us during the school year on Wednesday evenings from 6:45 to 8:00 at the house behind the church. You can expect a good time with friends, encouraging Bible teaching and music, and a small group time led by caring adult mentors.
Some of the special events we do throughout the year are:
A fall retreat at Forest Springs Camp being challenged by the high and low ropes courses
Service projects such as making care packages, raking leaves, putting together bags for the homeless, making blankets to encourage those going through tough times, etc.
Going to the Districts Youth Conference in Green Bay the first weekend in January
30 hour famine to raise money for those who are hungry
Fun youth activities such as a Christmas party, gym night at the High School, sledding, sports camp, etc.
Every summer we do a trip that averages about a week long. It varies each summer: adventure trip, mission trip, inner city ministry, local service projects, etc.
