Children’s Ministry

Children are precious to us at Crosswalk Community Church. From infants through 6th graders, our Children's Ministry programs are designed to teach children that they are valued and loved by our God!  We offer quality Sunday morning and mid-week opportunities to introduce children to God's Word, encourage them to become more like Jesus, and to share Jesus with their family, neighbors, and friends.

All of our volunteers are required to complete a background check to ensure a safe and secure environment for children and youth involved in our programs.

Nursery

We have a staffed nursery available for infants and toddlers through age 3. Nursery is available during our worship services year around. The nursery is located to the right as you enter the main entrance of the church.

Sunday School

The time children spend learning about God and His Word will impact them for the rest of their lives. We value the relationship building that takes place on Sunday mornings between our dedicated volunteers and each child. Sunday School is offered during the school year (September-May) during our 9:00 AM Christian education hour for children age 4-grade 6.

Children’s Church

Children’s Church is a fun and interactive service designed just for kids!  All children start the worship service with their parents in the sanctuary, and then children age 4 years-2nd grade are dismissed to Children’s Church at the beginning of the sermon. Children’s Church uses a variety of learning tools that are grounded in biblical truth.

JAM (Jesus And Me)

JAM is for Preschool-6th grade and is held on Wednesday nights, 6-8 PM during the school year. We will be learning together by using the program “The Bible in One Year”, during the 2019/20 and 2020/21 school years. JAM offers scripture lessons and singing during Large Group, learning to use our Bibles and fun lessons during Small Group, and an exciting and fun Game time. JAM will help children develop lifelong faith in Christ and loving, trusting relationships with others.

In addition to JAM, Crosswalk Community Church also offers a lite supper on Wednesday evenings. Each week, a simple and nutritious meal is offered, so that families can save time and money by eating supper at church! This is a wonderful time of building community with other families. The evening meal is served from 5:30 – 6:00 PM. Donations are appreciated.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is the most exciting week of the summer at Crosswalk Community Church. Children are welcomed by an enthusiastic and excited team of volunteers to participate in 5 evenings of fun and action-packed learning about Jesus. Great music, fun skits, exciting object lessons, Bible stories brought to life, outdoor games, experiments/crafts, and of course, yummy snacks are all a part of each evening of fun learning.
